INCAA’s Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access Statement

Fighting against inequities is part of our shared Community Action history.

We acknowledge that structural race, gender, and ability inequities contribute to the causes and conditions of poverty and prevent us from realizing the Promise of Community Action.  INCAA strives to dismantle these inequities.

To foster inclusion, diversity, equity, and access in our Network, INCAA is committed to:

  • Leading with respect and tolerance. We expect all employees to embrace this notion and to express it in workplace interactions and through everyday practices.
  • Contracting with a diverse panel of trainers for conferences and professional development to reflect the communities we serve.
  • Developing a system for being more intentional and conscious of bias during the hiring, promoting, or evaluating process.
  • Educating staff on treating all people with dignity and respect, and holding them accountable for treating all people with dignity and respect.
  • Dismantling inequitable policies and practices that prevent all Hoosiers from thriving.
  • Disaggregating data whenever possible.
