To be eligible for CSBG services or benefits, clients must meet income thresholds based on the federal poverty line.  The federal CSBG Act, however, does not provide any guidance on how to calculate income or what procedures CAAs should implement to conduct income eligibility verification.  This session will discuss issues that CAAs frequently encounter in verifying income, including defining and documenting income, determining eligibility for group-level services, and blending CSBG with other funding sources that have different eligibility requirements.
