RESIDENTIAL ENERGY AUDITING
This is a three day course designed to teach the individual how to collect, evaluate and communicate the information required for an effective and appropriate work order. This course is for any employee who conducts energy audits, estimates the quantity of materials required, or writes the work order. Topics include: How to identify the energy needs of each house, Indiana's Weatherization Program requirements, appropriate retro-fit materials and techniques, calculation of areas and quantities, and an introduction to house/furnace interaction. Each student participates in auditing a representative home and generates a measures list. Suggested prerequisites are: Basic Weatherization Skills class and substantial field experience. Building Analyst Certification components are included in this class.
