New Furnace Installation Inspection
The Indiana State Weatherization Program requires that all new gas, oil or electric furnace installations be inspected by the Weatherization Auditor prior to shell measures being applied to the structure.  This one-day course is intended for Installers or Auditors to help ensure that a minimum Code installation was accomplished.  The New Furnace Installation Inspection Form will be used throughout the day as a guide to detail the installation inspection criteria.  Covered will be topics ranging from venting issues, piping, ducting and electrical to “worst case” operational testing and special requirements for manufactured housing installations.  Participants are encouraged to bring their own tools and test instruments.  This course works well in conjunction with the Gas and Oil Condemnation Seminar and the Whole House Heat Load Calculation class as it would combine all the aspects of replacing heating equipment
