DUCT DIAGNOSTICS AND REPAIR This two day course addresses the critically important issue of HVAC duct leakage Topics include how duct leaks can impact occupant safety, building durability, HVAC system performance, and energy consumption. Participants will learn how to use diagnostic tools such as the blower door, pressure pan, and digital manometer to locate duct leakage, combustion appliance zone (CAZ) de-pressurization, and room-to-room pressure imbalances. They will also get hands-on experience with the most appropriate repair materials and techniques and learn how to do a daily safety test-out procedure. Heating Technician and Building Analyst Certification components are included in this class.
