BASIC WEATHERIZATION SKILLS This three day course is designed to introduce the individual to basic weatherization concepts and material installation techniques by the use of both classroom instruction and "hands-on" laboratory experience. This course is primarily for new weatherization employees, but is open to any agency employee who would benefit from a basic understanding of the typical weatherization measures. Topics covered include: Energy conservation theory, appropriate air sealing materials and techniques, insulation types and applications, and basic blower door use. This course is a prerequisite for most of the structural courses listed here. Building Technician I and Building Analyst Certification components are included in this class.
